Within the Advanced Street Skills (A.S.S. for short) there are 4 levels available. All utilize the same curriculum and work toward the same goal of better cornering skills for street riding. The difference is the focus of the lessons to best build cornering skills and they are meant to build upon each other for maximum effect.

For all types of street riders and street bikes to learn
S-M-A-R-T cornering techniques.

Learn to read the road, optimal lane positioning, body positioning, vision and speed control.

Level 2

Refine the A-R-T of S-M-A-R-T Cornering

This is for riders who have done A.S.S. Level 1 or Lee Parks' Total Control Training.

You'll work on body positioning, isometrics, suspension, throttle and steering inputs. It's all about the bike and rider working better together.

Marking S-M-A-R-T Lines

For riders who have done A.S.S. Level 1 and Level 2.

The lessons are about smooth, qualifying and reality lines. Understand when to best use lines with different turn, vanishing and exit points. Learn to mark lines to solve any cornering problem.

Individually Customized Training for S-M-A-R-T A.S.S. Riders

Only for riders who have done A.S.S. Level 3.

Get your own assigned instructor and a learning plan to best build your skills and become a S-M-A-R-T A.S.S. rider. This draws from Levels 1-3 to focus on the skills you need the most.

Advanced Street Skills – Military Mentor Training

The Advanced Street Skills Military Mentor Training is a program being run on military bases around the United States.

You'll need the reservation code specific for your training location to be able to register!

Minimum rider requirements:

Riders must have a street legal motorcycle to use during the training
Riders must be in compliance with all DOD and local requirements to ride legally (MSF training, MC endorsement, etc.)
Riding gear minimums:
- US DOT compliant helmet
- Goggles or face shield
- Sturdy above the ankle riding boots
- Full fingered gloves
- Sturdy pants (riding pants strongly recommended)
- Riding jacket (as a mentor long sleeve shirts will not be acceptable)

Chatter Box communication systems are used
during on-road training sessions.

ContourHD wearable camcorders are used
during on-road training sessions.

For safety all riders will be evaluated during the first two days of closed course training to assure they are at a skill level appropriate for the open road training sessions. During training all local laws will be observed and adhered too.

During training all riders will use a hi-viz safety vest such as the Icon vest. If riders do not already use one we will provide one for the duration of the training.

All riders will also be setup for voice communication when doing on-road training. Riders that already use a FRS style radio will be encouraged to bring their own. Riders without an FRS unit will have one fit to their helmet with a new mic and headset for the duration of the MMT training.
